Are DragonKin a classification of their own or are they lumped in with Otherkin?

Some social networks might lump them in with all Otherkin but Dragonkin is a wide range of conditions. Not every Dragonkin is fully a dragon. There are Dragons, Drakes, Dragoons, DragonMages just to name a few and they're all very different from each other. Just being a "Dragon" can mean two or three different species and hundreds of breeds. The other classifications are just as varied.
For those of us who are in human form ... don't care what you call us so long as it isn't late for dinner!

Dragons are a kind of otherkin, although the online dragon community has its own history separate from the parts of the otherkin community that grew mainly out of elves (i.e. the early history around the Elf Queen's Daughters and the Silver elves, places like Elfinkind Digest, etc.), just as the therian community also has a separate social history, and some dragons might prefer to mingle only among that crowd or prefer to be among therians rather than otherkin "proper".
