What sort of equipment do you use when you're investigating paranormal activity?

I usually don't use any equipment other than my own self....
And maybe a couple of large circular speaker magnets, some copper foil, a plastic easter egg, and duct tape. Heh.

Oh, and some dice. if they land on the same number twice, I use the bow staff to knock them into the air, if it lands on the same number again, I toss the dice and the marble at the same time. The dice will normally change numbers, and the cause would be transfixed on the marble, long enough for me to trace it.
Works. I just can't carry a bowstaff anywhere these days.

Interesting, I've never heard of that method before. How did you happen to start using it?

I question how usefull it would be to take Batteries with you, after all "ghost encounters" tend to run camera batteries dry etc... must have a reason!

Ghosts require large amounts of energy to manifest themselves there for they take from where ever.Have you ever been in a room and the temp drops like a rock? Thats a spirit taking in energy.Batteries running low or dead is not an uncommon accurence,in fact just about every investigator(s) I know always start with fresh batteries with brand newones stashed in a pocket. As for equipment I tend to go alone for prelimenary looks and on those occassions I'll take a cheap disposable camera and a decent digital recorder for EVPs.I'll also carry some note paper and penneys. What I'll do is go room to room place the paper on a flat surface. Then I'll lay a penney flat on top and trace around it.Leave the penney and paper there and come back at say 30 min intervals to see if the penney has been disturbed. This little low-tech method works fairly well when dealing with a haunting that seems to be centered around a peice of furniture ie...tables,linen tables etc....
PEACE OUT
