Asleep comfortably in my own bed. Alone for the night (which is unusual for me) but suddenly the comfortable room gets bitter cold and a sense of dread overcomes me. I waken instantly and look around but there is nothing "unusal" to see. Only this sense of dread. I reason there is nothing to worry about. Get up and check on my child who is sleeping peacefully, the animals seem fine, no gas on nothing to start a fire. I go back to bed .... the sense of dread is greater in my own room than anywhere else.
Before I tell you how I solved this tell me ... what would you do?

Take my teddybat and pillow and go sleep out on the couch (or in this case, the chair in front of the TV), or on the floor out in the living room. At least for a while. If the feeling of dread goes away then I might prolly move back into the bedroom, but sleep with a light on or something.

I encounter this kind of situation on a nightly basis and as such has become very irritating. Last night something punched my pillow from underneath so hard that it startled me awake. I have tried all sorts of methods to allay this thing even taking herbal remedies which succeed in knocking me out, only to be wide awake after one hour and seeing these shadows skulking around my room and some approaching me. I am very rational and I don't take medication I just have this terrible difficulty in shutting down!
