Hey kids,
Have you as kin ever been asked to prove you are something other than human? Of course you have... even by other kin right??
How would you prove this you may ask, and the response would be DNA testing...
Well my friends, the DNA test cannot determine everything that goes on with us. For example, out of the thousands upon thousands of codes, scientists can only decipher about 30%. We have all this extra DNA, called Junk DNA, that is clinging on.
Usually the body rejects defected organs, cells, whatever, but these junk DNA's aren't defective, they just do nothing, or at least we don't know what they do.
See, because of my unhealthy obsession with Zombie Invasions, I have done a lot of reading on RNA's, DNA's, coding, viral spreading, and try to catch all those woohoo fun PBS shows.
No I'm not a geneticist, but my Zombie Theory was deemed, "well done", by an actual geneticists whose a friend of James. Also Nova had a show about a month or so ago regarding RNA mutation, which fit right in with my theories. What does this mean?? I'm a nut who thinks she's a mad scientist.. that's really all, but I do know a little something about the wonderful world of DNA.
But I digress,
The codes that we have broken thus far shows that the only similarity between us on this world is that we are human... so far. However, they have already determined that there is really no such thing as separate races by using a DNA code. A Mexican can have the SAME genetic makeup as an African. I could have the same codes as someone in China. Our ancestry is vast, and unless you do an extensive DNA chart, of 400 codes or more, there is no to determine anything other than that you are a living person... or homosapien.
Even then however, there are some codes that mean nothing. Take skin colour. The DNA coding for a human's skin colour is the same as that of a cow.
By telling someone to take a DNA test to prove you are anything other than human is really kind of a far fetch request since we, "humans", cannot decipher even half the codes of our body.
So of course your DNA would show up as human, those are the only codes we can read so far.
Once more DNA codes are broken, we may see a change in the homosapien species. Remember like I said, the junk DNA is what is left over from our ancestors. The DNA as far as we can tell don't do anything, but because they are not defects, our body keeps them, meaning to me, since we are such complex creatures, and our bodies aren't designed to carry useless stuff, this junk DNA may hold some truths to the entire otherkin society.
