Seven Deadly Sins, and what I have found.

The link above has some weird statements on the origins of the seven deadly sins.

This link has some bible quotes on each of the seven deadly, and has some interesting examples of each.

I found those two sites when I did a google search. I am interested in knowing these a bit better than I normally do, and the reason was because of few of my dreams recently.

Please Help me find out more about them than I already can see.

Mmm, sin is a religious construct that doesn't exists out of the basis of religions.

Basicly you can only sin if you are part of a religion that defines sin!

Hey, I'm "guilty" of all but one or two of those, at some point or other. I'd like to have a complete set, but I just can't seem to manage envy. As for pride, well....

(Barbara Streisand? Pride? okie dokie then...<lol>).
Well, pride does, by their definition, mean an OVERLY high opinion of oneself. I'd say her success as an artist certainly qualifies her for having a justified high opinion of herself, wouldn't you?

I beleive so too.
I am guilty of all those sins, but then why do I keep having dreams where I am killing seven people who take the names of those sins? I still dislike the way I do it.
Seven Trees holding seven people.
Each of the seven hold a Sin as a name.
Each of the seven die by the removal of an organ.
Pride: Brain, for believing in the High opinion of itself
Gluttony: Stomach, for the passing of more than enough food.
Sloth: Tongue, for the taste of the slow still lingers.(I still don't know why.)
Envy: Heart, for the feelings of jealousy remains highest in feelings.
Lust: Womb(For obvious reasons.)
Greed: Eyes, for the passing of money could never end in the eye of avarice.
Wrath: Lungs, for anger is felt most in the lungs, for screams and yells well through them.

Don't neccessarilly ask me why these organs, and how they die for some of them, For I HAVE no earthly Hellish Idea.

While I am by no means an expert in dreamology, nor do I profess to know everything. I have an opinion. I do not know what religion you follow, if any, but it sounds as if your subconscious may be tapping your inner values. These values are not necessarily Christian, but simply your own ethics and mores, and it may be that you have grown tired of those you see who do not share in your own values or standards. Often times, our subconscious will speak to us in our dreams and it may merely be a way for you to vent these frustrations in a manner that causes no physical or mental harm to anyone else.
As I have said, I am by no means an expert, but I do know that I often grow frustrated by those who do not hold themselves to a rather high standard of living.

That is an interesting way of putting it. Hmm... Wow. Um, yeah.

Maybe your right, but I have no 'single' religion, merely a mesh of other religions and other things that only a few people have been able to feel or understand. But that is still an interesting way of putting it.
