Why are there so few Elves who speak out about themselves? I know that there are very few legitimate websites dedicated to Elves, same with Faeries and there are multitudes of people wanting to know more about them.
So why don't more who feel that they are elves step forward and speak out?

Well, for me, I don't really know what to say. I don't want to write a book about who I am and post it, so I think perhaps someone might need to ask an elf-specific question. I only have my own experiences to offer, and I certainly don't know close to everything, so I don't want to appear arrogant by offering where advice is not requested.
And elves generally are quiet when they should not be, and I've never figured out why.

It may possibly help if you could research books mainly written by South Americans, there should be translated versions out there. They seem to have covered that field with zeal. I have read some of these books in their original text, they do give a lot to think about.

fae dont like to be open to let others know of our existance for the protection of the kin, sure there r certain fairy like to be open, but the majority, same with u elves, the majority is silent, except for that few.

Ok I know this thread was originally posted back in November, but I hav decided that I will try and post something to every elf thread on this board... and maybe, just maybe, someday, I'll get a second star next to my name.... yes I'm obessesed witht he star thingy... Ok, but on to the post... I don't know why elves are quiet. They sure bitch enough to each other and how "humans" are damaging the Earth and yadda yadda yadda. I for one am not a quiet elf. Maybe it's because I was raised a human in the middle of Chicago that I don't have that "natural affiliation with nature" or whatever. I agree with the posts above, that most of the time it's because others will think we rolled one to many dice in our life times. Also elves kind of have a stereo-type that most real elves don't associate with. I don't kow to many elves that REALLY live in trees, wear tights, and shoot a bow... and if we're not compared to Robin Hood, then it's either Keebler or Santa elves. . It is unfortunate that we have some of these type of negative connotations associated with us, but it's no one's fault but those of us that aren't willing to come out and say... hey elf here, No I don't bake cookies and I don't build toys, no I don't frollick, and no, I don't live in a tree."
Protecting the kinship?? Its not like we're White Rhinos... we should promote the kinship not hide it.
Just my 2 cents, and I'm sure I'll get change from this one LOL Elix
