I had a dream last night in which I was in an old, open-air temple that nature had reclaimed. I had these odd wings that were sort of insect-like, but also very avian with feathers and such. I don't really know what the purpose of my dream was, as all I did was meander about almost aimlessly but at the same time, keeping one particular statue in sight at all times. This statue had been left to the elements for too long for me to be able to see any details. Think of it like a blank mannequin, no features at all. The whole dream was almost completely devoid of detail with the exception of the wings, which were almost vivid compared to the other surroundings.
I've had a zillion little questions zooming around my brain all day but the two big ones are: Who or what was in that statue I seemed to be so focused on? and What the hell are those wings about? I've never seen anything like them.

Hmmm... maybe they are your wings. Maybe the statue was you and it was a message for you about yourself?? Not really sure. I have had dreams about having wings and flying around. I don't have a clear vision of what they looked like, though. It is really interesting to me.

I've read posts on other groups about phantom wings, being able to feel them but not quite having them. Sort of the way someone would feel about an amputated leg or arm. Still be able to feel the pressure on that part of your body where wings might connect to the body.

*points up at Mairi's post* That's how me and one of my Xie sister's feel about them. I've gone so far as to make paper wings of how they feel to me, and affix them to the back of a Barbie doll so I can show people how they would fan out or lie flat against my back. I need to get transparency paper so it's more realistic looking. The only thing I can think of is to draw both the wings that were on your back and the ones on the statue, then meditate on it. Can't hurt, and you might find out some nice things about yourself, like where you come from and the like.
