Does anybody have some links to good information about pixies? Whenever I look I just get a lot of information on pixie characters in popculture. I'm really looking for pixie kin sites.

Hey sweets, seems that the fairy folk are quiet as of late. I do not have a list, and I think I should start making one because I get asked that a lot... "where do you read all this stuff?" I will see what I can dig up for you. No promises on when it will be, just one day you may come here and there will be a post of a thousand links LOL!! Sometimes I get obsessed Until then, I am here to help you as much as I could. You crazy fairy folk are troublesome, and I don't understand your brain patterns all that much

I don't find any of the descriptions striking true for me. I think the answer might not be in folklore.
Pixie's originally called to me because of my strong inclination towards mischief, however nothing else really clicks.
So I'm back to square one only with more knowledge under my belt.

Fey in general can tend to have a mischievious side. That does not mean you would fall under a pixie or even the stero-type fairy catagory. There are so many fey types. You will not find a non-historic source for fairies or elves either. They are all based in legend and you have to dive through all the legends to find even a partial truth. The tuatha is a great example. Most everyone thinks of the Celtic pantheon and fairies of the sidhe when they hear the name Tuatha. BUT did you knoe that Macha, who is also known as Danu, came to Ireland from Spain?? She was known as Macha of Tuatha. So after digging through stories after stories, I find this reference. My next step would then be to look up Macha from Spain or something like that till finally I hit a dead end, and then begin over again. The fey kin sites, I have not bneen impressed with. I get the feeling of to much fantasy involved in their beliefs. It would be like me saying I follow Corellon because he is father of elves... I'm not saying those sites or false, they may ring true for you, so please do go look through them, it's just in my opinion, they are to Tolkein and not enough history. If I were to suggest one it would be House of Twighlight. It's a yahoo group like SL, but for fey types. groups.yahoo.com/group/houseoftwilight/There are a lot of cross over members too. So are there specifics on why you feel fey beside mischievious... tell us what you are going through.
