Has anyone read the new Laurell K. Hamilton book yet? If so what did you think of it?

I recently bought my copy from you Mairi. No, I've not read it yet. I'm still reading Children of the Matrix that I also borrowed from you LOL

I finally finished ID last month. I was disappointed. It seems as though all Anita can think about is where she will get her next feed from. If you were to remove all the sex scenes, the book would have only been about 100 pages.
I'm not sure what has taken hold of LK Hamilton recently. Maybe she isn't getting enough at home and feels the need to write about her own sexual fantasies. Whatever the reason, I wish we would go back to raising the dead and the thrill of hunting down the bad guys with intermitten sex. If I wanted to read erotica I would buy erotica.

What did the rest of you think of Incubus Dreams?

I've only recently begun reading LKH books, and I have to admit I don't see what all the fuss is about. I find her work to be tedious and the characters one dimensional.

I like the story line but LK Hamilton seems to have lost sight of it after Blue Moon. Everything is based on sex. I personally think she has been evesdropping too much on groups from the vampire community where I am sure she read about Real Vampires feeding from sex and then based this ardeur on that.

I have read all of the books from the series and would like to see the "old" Anita back in the books, If the next book is anything like the last I prolly won't bother to read it. It seemed it was very light on plot, and more about Anita getting laid in some fashion or another.
