Most who are therian believe that at one time in their past lives they were an animal and that their spiritual connection stems from this.
And since dragons were a mythological creature where and how do you feel that your connection with such a creature comes from?

Ah but upon whose authority does it say that Dragons are ONLY Mythological and never truely existed. Perhaps they have, since Dinosaur bones could possibly be dragon bones, both are large lizard like creatures.
Also it is possible that they indeed do still exist and have chosen to live hidden in the bowels of the Earth. OR it is also possible that dragons chose to shift into human form and have forgotten how to shift back b/c they have been in this form for so long a time?
For me personally, I can't say either way which ideal appeals to me. I still consider myself newly awakened to my dragon self. But I do kind of like the shifting idea the best LOL What can I say? I have a great imagination.

I assure you, anything we can conceive upon in our "imagination" absolutely did exist at some point in the past, in some dimension, in some reality.
Dragons most certainly had a culture of their own indeed I believe they had their own planet, or dimension upon this planet.
I have 3 master guides who I channel, one is Mer, one is Zoran, the third is Dragon... 3 guesses why his name is Dragon? ;D He assures me, they are no myth, in fact NO myth is actual myth. All mythology stems from truth.

Okay if not all dragons are lizard like, then what are they? A bit more information would be appreciated here.

I have a question of my own, actually.. What if you know that you are reptilian or Saurian in nature and you have a fondness for (and friendship with) dragons, yet you are not dragon yourself? Does anyone else have a Saurian connection or am I just a freak? lol
Sincerely,
Reign :~)=...[/color]

I'm not quite sure what you mean by a Saurian connection?
I have a passion for anything with large leather like wings. I would say that I like dragons but that wouldn't entirely be true. Because its not all dragons that I seem drawn to. And its the same way with reptiles. I enjoy them, don't mind touching them, have a respect for them but it doesn't seem to go much further than that.
Can you explain your connection a bit more?

Saurian - noun (plural sau·ri·ans) lizard: any of a former suborder of reptiles that included all lizards. Suborder Sauria. adjective of lizards: relating to or resembling a lizard. My guess would be that Saurian was anything in the reptile category.

I don believe dragons were truly mythological i belive the lore stems from a type of dinosaur perhaps iam bound to dragons by blood through a sharing with darkprince_lord_draco years agoi feel their spirits and think they are quite real and exist in the etheral or astral plane these days..

Dragons are NOT "lizards". for one thing, dragons are warm blooded. Not all dragons have scales, either. Some only have hide which resembles the skin on the legs and feet of birds. Dragons are part of the culture of every society on the face of this planet in one form or another. They are as real as "God". Dragons are among the first created creatures. They are originators of planets and have a very ancient lineage in the less dense realms than the material plane.
my personal connection to the dragons is that I am one. Over the last five or six years I have learned that dragons are natural shape shifters. They can appear as humans, cats or any animal they choose to be, here on the material plane. Those dragons who take on human form usually do so with a mission. those who manifest as animals usually do so to protect someone who is either, themself a dragon, or "dragon kin" which means some other thought form related to the dragons but never actually having been a dragon. Reign, your love of all things Saurian extends to dragons because of the look, but remember, dragons are warm blooded.
