I don't know about the different worlds or anything - I don't remember any of that. I know I am a forest/wood elf.
I found out by just realizing, I suppose. It's fairly difficult to describe. I found myself more and more in tune with the earth, the trees, the plants and animals. I found myself increasingly uncomfortable around buildings - especially office buildings - and oblivious people. I became angry and saddened by parking lots and roadways, of people's disregard for the earth and their selfishness and self-importance. I understood that one form of life is no better than another.
And then one day I simply couldn't get my mind off of elves. After a week of hard thinking, reading, and talking to elves, I realized that was what I was.
I wish I could explain it better.
I don't know that I have spirit guides. I feel that what guides me is continuous and greater understanding of the IS. The more I find myself aligned to the IS, the easier life becomes, in the sense of struggle. Difficulty still remains, but with it comes understanding and acceptance.
Guides, to me, are everyone and everything. I learn from the daffodils and the pea plants, from the giant oaks and firs, from the cats and squirrels, from the wind, the rain, and the sun.

For me, what helps in bonding is not to care what others think. It is tough, at first, to put them out of your mind as you hug a tree in a public square, or kneel down at a stoplight to smell a flower. I personally feel that simplicity has helped in that regard as well - I have tried to cut as may things as possible out of my life, that, though entertaining, are not an intrinsic part of me. For me, I get sick sick when I cannot lie in a field (or even just lush grass) for a while and match my pulse to that of the earth. Your bond will come when it is time - if that is what you wish. It makes sense to me that your guides would know. In m opinion, this lifetime is very thickly veiled, and it takes much desire, determination, and time to see through it. They exist on the other side. Was your elf spirit guide an elf here? I'd love to know more. Actually, my elven awakening began when I witnessed an alligator beaten to death with a tire iron. I already had a good idea that animals were worthwhile in their own right, but to see it cruelly killed in such a way simply because it had dared trespass on human territory? That sparked a decision for me not to eat meat or dairy (dairy is not good for you anyway) so whenever it does slip into my food, I am ill. I have noticed an increasing ill feeling (to the point of vomiting) when there is much exhaust about, or unnatural chemicals. My personal choice, on these same lines, is to avoid western medicine and primarily use natural medicine. Seems a bit redundant when I believe we choose to be ill and choose to get better, but sometimes the mind forgets. Though indeed, the decision not to eat animal products comes from a personal belief (though, I think, very elven) and not the spirit affecting the flesh, I very much believe it is so. des'tai, Kiara

I'm very new just got signed up tonight 4/28/04. I was just wondering how do you find out what elf you are. My spirit guide seems to be a crow I had deelings with visions when I was a teenager. Everywhere I would go one was always with me. And when I decided to get my first tattoo something told me to get a crow.

You will probably hate me for this, but you have to look inside yourself. Think of the things you are most drawn to: rivers? mountains? deserts? forests? underwater? www.elenari.net might help. Kiara

Hello, hello! I'm a newbie to this group. I am Ellixi, my friends call me Elix. Pronounced with a short e, not EElix. Anyway, I am a fea, more traditionallyan "elf" as in the description of Tolkien and Gygax. But fae none the less. I am no particular kind, although most of my memory is of the outdoors, usually in some sort of forrest setting, but there are others around large bodies of water. Perhaps I traveled. Well enough of that... I started regressing at age 14. It started as weird dreams and memories of things I knew possibly couldn't happen. I remember waking up from a deep meditation with memories of a blond man name Trace or Tracey or something like that and I kept yelling "Tate ta'hogan" to him. Well after many years of "soul searching"and truth be told, playing D&D I was able to understand these whacked out feelings I was having. I was simply falling into the revelly(sp?) and was remembering a time long ago. Playing D&D helped to broaden my horizons and caused me to do more detailed searching on line, discussing this with friends, started reading more fantasy novels, and just help me realize that not only am I beginning to awaken, but I'm awakening in the elvin version of the terrible 2's!! Remember I was 14, puberty for humans is like the terrible 2's for fae. Now at 30, I get to do it allover again!! I am now entering the fea puberty cycle and trust me, it's not any better than when I was actually going through it. I was wondering why I was moody, on edge, needed time to myself to practice majicks. Just very typically puberty signs! So after many discussions with friends we came to the above conclusion. ;D As for my spirit guide: Just recently I went to a psychic and I asked about my spirit guide. I was never close withany guides and was jealous of my friends whowere so I just had to know if I even had one. Well, yes I do!! Her name is Kalid, or Caligh, I can't spell it, and she's HUGE!! Imean physically intimidating. The psychic almost fell off his chair from the immense power that came off of her. He said she is very tall and strong and has bright flaming red hair and almond shaped green eyes. He didn't mention elf or not, but I am convinced from the rest of the description; she wears a long brown and green robe with Celtic designs around the collar and sleeves, however according to him, that'swhat they looked like but weren't actually Celtic and he could guess what they may be. Just leafy patterns and intertwining vines. She also wore a frontale, with a crested moon at the forehead. He said she has guided me, but in no way that he can show. He said that's because there is another greater force that guides you. This is where it gets kind of cool, turns out that I was chosen to follow the Dagda by the Good God himself. He is the one that dictates my faite. So with some crazy druid/elf/warrior chick as my guide and Dagda at the end all be all, what is a girl to do but simply accept and believe. Ok, that's my story. Ah well I'm coming late to this... I am a mix of Gray and Wood Elven. I've the normal craving for wild meat and the aversion dare we say "allergy" to soy and peanuts... I have little problem with milk or with wheat but auto exhaust brings on asthma attacks. I am a sensitive, and a Bean Sidhe though the latter is a function not a species... I learned about what I was when I was taken to Seelie Court at age 13... Life has not been the same since then.
My spirit guides reflect the variety of Folk found at Seelie Court. I have yet to find out why I have attracted those who follow me about, but like the guides they tell me this is where they are supposed to be. It does lead to some strange situations when one of the Sidhe makes a comment that only I can hear and I start giggling... Other then that I am a fairly commonplace Elf [with wrinkles from having the giggles all the time].

Hello. I'm Maxine. But, my friends just call me Max. I am not entirely sure what kind of elf I am. I have a feeling that I might be a mix. I am not tall. No bigger than 5 foot 3. I have been guessing that I am most likely a wood/night elf mix. But, you never know. Things are confusing. Especially because, I am also most definitely a siren. I am quite slender and not in a sickly way. I have a strong connection with the trees and the mountains. Being under water terrifes me if it has chlorine in it. It's simply unnatural. I can communicate with my friend from distances. I have gotten quite strong. I do it from another state at this point without a cellphone or electronic device. I throw things around without my hands. I am quite agile and light on my feet. I am an empath. So... As you can tell, things are very confusing for me. But, I am 98% sure that I am an elf
