I've always thought a Dyrad was more a tree faery than water fae. But I suppose you could associate it with water because its fond of willow tree's and they are always on the edge of a stream, creek or pond.
As for other water fae, there are Sea Sprites and Unlines. There are Selkies who are a seaside faery native to Scotland and Kelpies also native to scotland.
Hope that helps

Can you be more specific or descriptive Mairi? What's the difference between the two scottish water fae?
I'm very drawn to water as well as trees so I'd like to know more if you will.
Thanks! Acacia

There are serveral types of Fae. Elemental: water, fire, air, earth, each gain power from their particular element . Then there are Dark Fae, power over shadows and one of them is the keeper of death and Light Fae, power over the light and one of them is keeper of life. Now im doing research on a particular group called Shadow Fae, but im coming up short. Trying to find more about their existance, and if u could help me find more about them, plz give me your infomation.
thnx, Amenthyst, The Black Diamond Prince

water fae are known by many a name. I personally call them Udine. the Udine are a few of the water sprites that I have personally met. they are under the water guardians personal servents sometimes, so you might actually meet the guardians if you haven't already.
