In most fiction Therians are sterotyped as being nature lovers who have jobs out of doors or they are the biker sort. So I was wondering if there was a sterotypical type for Therians? What sort of profession would one be in if they were a therian?

A) Something out of doors, as per the book stereotype. B) Something with computers. C) Blue-Collar Why? Because most of us just don't like being around a lot of people, or dealing with the public. There are exceptions, sure...but you're looking for a stereotype. Jobs which allow a person to work independently, and don't force them into contact with large numbers of people, are appealing to the greatest number of therians. And, alas, if they can't find their dream job, they have a tendency to job-hop...moving from one low-paying job to another, as their less-than-pristine people skills get them into trouble, or drop them on the bottom of the managers' lists of "people I like" through no real fault of theirs.

Yah unfortuantly we dont play well with others and we have a minor habit of not dealing with most shit

My husband is a Therian and he prefers the outdoors, his preferred job is landscaping. If he doesn't get outside at least once a day he starts getting crabby.

Most therians I know are out of doors people who love to camp, hunt, fish, or hike. They don't seem happy behind a desk or with a white collar job so maybe there is something to the sterotype after all.

Jobs I've not thought were too bad included pizza delivery driver, and a very interesting job that boils down to "person who goes around and waters and takes care of the plants in office buildings".
Both jobs are cooperative with other people to some degree, but also include alone time. Both involve roaming around the city to various locations to perform tasks.
Working in a greenhouse is, by the way, one of the most gloriously relaxing and refreshing jobs I can think of--mentally, anyhow (it does involve a lot of physical labor).

I wouldn't want an outdoor job. My dream job is copy-editing, so I guess I'm weird in more ways than one.

I work inside, desk job, small office, drives me nuts and by the end of the day I'm grouchy. I make damn good money tho, so i deal, barely. We do have a a small company, thank the Gods and I can come and go whenever the need arises. I really don't have to deal with to many people and when I do, its short lived. At least I'm outside of town a bit and can walk around the property and breath when I feel cagey. Keely
