The majority of the time all you hear from are teens and young adults, ages 14 through 21, who are just becoming aware of who they are or thinking that they know it all. Why is it that there are so few older therians online speaking out?

I think you're just looking in the wrong places, lol. I think there are a few forums and meeting places where younger therians tend to congregate. Greymuzzles simply congregate elsewhere.
I've found a fairly high number of greymuzzles in places such as The Werelist. I'm 32, myself, by the way.
There is actually a very substantial population of older weres...many of them simply have been burned out when it comes to dealing with younger weres who are full of questions that have already been hashed to death...so they avoid the youngers.

I can relate to being burnt out but its a shame that they avoid the groups because their wisdon is invaluable and without it all we have are the assumptions that the kids have made and they are trying to lead those coming into the community now.

Well, some people are better with kids than others are. I didn't mean to give the impression that older therians never visit boards where younger therians are present--there are quite a number of greymuzzles who will specifically do so in order to help out the youngers. But of course, this makes it appear that there are very few older therians--a board for younger therians may have one or two of them. It's not that the older therians don't exist in larger numbers, just that only a few have the patience and time to help out the younger folks. I don't know about you, but I'd rather the grumpy oldsters stayed away from the kids' boards, if they know they won't be able to contain themselves from losing their temper, lol.... Besides...how many people do you really need to answer the same old questions over and over? The answers to these very old questions generally don't change.

I'm comfortable with Theriens of all ages. For myself I am 60 years old. Yes yes....when dinosaurs ruled the earth. I am 1/4 native american and have two animal spirits very strong within me, an Albino Puma and a Black Wolf...no not a sabertooth and a direwolf.
I can't remember when I first realized I had these spirits, but I do rember my first poetry in 2nd grade was always about cats or wolves.
I use astral projection to travel in my animal forms, just now I am very attuned to my wolf.
I'm not a grumpy oldster. I don't lose my temper. I think the sharing of knowlege is key.

Hey dark - A while ago in meditation I "saw" what I thought was a fox's face, but yesterday there was a documentary about African wildlife on & I was surprised by how much the jackal resembled what I had seen. Just a thought.
