You know how many places that sell spell supplies carry special inks for spell writing. Doves Blood, Bat's Blood, Dragon's Blood. Does it really matter if you use that stuff or not? I mean if your heart is really behind what you're doing wouldn't any old ink pen do the job? I'm just curious. I use this lovely french calligraphy ink and a glass quill. Neither one was meant for spell use, I found them in a gift shop in FL and just really liked them.

I believe that the significance of the ink to you 'personally' is what counts. The rest seems to me like story book crap that never really was useful. But who knows, maybe spell writers of old used stuff like that. I just find that regular ink works just as well as anything else.

I have a feeling that in days of old blood was used as ink and that's the origins the spell crafter companies base their products on.
