I have read where several pagan and witch groups are doing rituals online. I truely wonder just how this would work or if it works in comparison to a full face to face circle? Has anyone ever participated in an online ritual? What can you tell us about them? What's the energy level like?

I've never worked a ritual online but I feel that it could be done. One would need to raise energy and then projected it through the computer using it as a conduit connecting with others doing the same thing.
I mean afterall if vampires can feed from enegies they raise online then I don't see why others couldn't use energies to complete rituals as well as spells online.
I do feel that it would lack the intensity that a face to face circle could create. The difference would be a bit like frozen mass made lasagna verse homemade lasagna if you get my drift.

In theory, it would work fine. Of all the lame places to find wisdom, the TV show Gargoyles had a startlingly accurate insight in one of their episodes: "Energy is energy, whether generated by science or magic."
This is very much true - and any conduit that can transfer scientific energy (electricity) can transfer magical energy.
I haven't participated in such a ritual, because like any other aspect of the web, I can't be certain of the true intent behind the person(s) receiving the energy, no matter what they write in e-mails. That's why I also rarely send energy for energy requests unless I actually know the person, or it's someone I know who makes the request for a friend/relative.
