I chatted the other day with a vampire in Ireland that claims to make a blood substitute drink using iron supplements and chocolate syrup. Wouldn't this be pointless? If it didn't come from a living being I should think it wouldn't contain the necessary energy to do any good.

Even though It's my personal opinion that energy exist in all things.I can still see your point it would appear to be a useless cocoction to anyone except maybe a diabetic or an anemiac lol.
PEACE OUT

It's not the blood that we need but rather the life force essence that is within the blood. So no matter what we ingest it will never do anything other than take the edge off our cravings.
Personally, ice cold spring water works best for me.

I've been preparing a lot of rare meat dishes of late. Doesn't do much good, but it tends to take the edge off.

The taste of blood, even my own tends to take the edge off, but nothing will do but the real thing, unfortunately.

Ave everyone, I have seen many ideas in my years of awakened spirit, and it would seem that people are constantly trying to find some form of easing the hunger or the essence of being vampyric to begin with. Why try to ease the very essence of who and what we are? I find there is no substitute for the energy that I require on at least a semi-weekly basis. Chocolate tastes yummy, but it does nothing to re-energize me. I have tried animal blood, which also does nothing for me. Blood outside of the human vessel is simply dead blood, and in my own opinion contains no prana whatsoever. Of course, we are all different, and this is merely my own opinion. My vampyric self is simply who and what I am. It is an integral part of my life, my personality, and my very being. I hope I never reach a point in life where I wish to suppress it. It has given me far too much enlightenment and insight, that I truly am thankful for what I am... :-)
Blessings in Light and Darkness, Onyx

I had heard that ginseng helps, tried it did not do much for a substitute but helped in the general energy department.

He is probably a physical mundane disease vamp'i're then, body doesn't make enough of what is needed, it's found in blood, so craves blood, and iron and chocolate syrup, as it is iron needed most the time, just substitutes it.
I sometimes use solar energy as a substitute, but that over heats my body too fast, and I passed out once doing it in about 5 minutes. So I don't do that very often less really needed.

I know someone myself that has some sort of concoction that he uses when he cant feed because he is in the military. I think it just helps calm his cravings though until he can get to a donor.

During the first quarter of '05 i got thirsty and when I couldn't drink, my sex drive kicked into overdrive. For about 7 months it was cunsumptuis. think I spelled that right.......I've been ok for a couple months, for now. lol That was definitately an awakening I won't forget. I did get a lot of insight and foresight with it. I believe sex can be a very intiment and open way to cunsume and or share energy.

My boyfriend is a vampire, he says ginger helps calm the cravings some, especially ginger tea made from scratch.

Ginger is good, I like to use a mix of bitterroot, peppermint, and ginger. Not the best tasting per say, but it works for me. That or inflicting pain.
