Thinking back to the begining of time, would you hazzard to guess what the first vampires might have been like? Do you have a opinion about our beginings, where we may have come from?

hmmm... that one takes a lot of thought, I guess the answer might depend on what philosophy you subscribe to about the orgin of man. I personally believe that vampires and other types of kin evolved right along with the rest of man. That we always existed even at the very beginning. As far as to what we were like at those earlier times I think we were a bit more like the legends.

I agree with Jasmine. That we have existed since the begining of man, perhaps before man for that matter. As to what we may have been like, well I would imagine we were v more of a predator than our human counsin, man and far more advanced since.

Deep down I feel that we were once, far more darker in action and less in empathic towards the sensitivity of others. As the world changed so did we and many others. We must of learned very quickly that the laws of man lays heavy on us than the nights of yore.

Kagliphs began out, in lore, within the beginning. That there was one kagliph along with one of each of the other major forms of entities, and together they keep the movement, laws, and balance of existance.
It is believed they were heartless, cold, and emotionless. Some retain this trait to this day. The kagliph was there to be the balance of life and death. Keep life life and death death, and keep the boundries of the two. Nuetral creatures, kagliphs were considered dark due to their lack of emotions and care, only that which is and how it needs to be. Killing those who refused to go on their time, and bringing back those that have gone without due time.
that is what I know (have found) in a nut shell.

I think that seeing how our bad our blood cravings tend to get, combined with lack of there being any one with an open enough mind to actualy donate blood to some one who said they needed it, lack of painless ways to get blood on the one in a trillion chance that some one would give blood willingly. I believe there is a strong chance that animals and possibly even people were killed by vampires for blood. Not to mention the fact that back then killing was way easier to get away with.
