I personally think it will always be divided...least in the way of vampires. There are too many groups, orgs, and most importantly ego's that will always interfere with us becoming one. Basically the vampire community is best left as an open relationship as we'll never be able to participate in marriage.

I agree with Grim on this...even tho I am not a vampire, I do watch and learn...I've noticed that for the most part Vampires are solitary but the human aspect leads them to join a "community/house/coven" If one of those organizations says or does something that another group finds offensive...there is a fight and vice versa.
Egos make it hard to become one with each other. Not everyone is perfect, but most like to think that they are LOL

I see it as mostly divided. There are just to many differing ideas as well as clashing egos. But I think it is unfair to totally single out vampires on this. Vampires are human & we reflect the state of society as a whole. There are major divisions in the African American community right now. Example much of the work & effort of African American leaders excludes African nationals. Its no secret that many non wiccan pagans often have great contempt for wiccans. Christian denominations are constantly nitpicking & criticizing other denominations. Not even white supremacists groups tend to get along with other white supremacists group & they are often more violent to each other then to non wasps. In America right now we are at a major cultural division. Half of the country is made up of Right wing conservative fundamentalist & there supporters. The other half is made up of Leftist Liberals who are mostly scientific minded & there supporters. There is a lot tension because of this & I think this cultural gap between the two groups is growing. Maybe not now but I can visualize things eventually evolving to actual violence & perhaps even a full blown Civil & Cultural war. As a country we are divided. On a global scale we are divided by nationality, religion, language, & ideology. As a human society we are divided. You can't fault the vampires for falling in the same traps as everyone else. When human nature changes & because more accepting perhaps but honestly I don't see that ever happening. TEXTTEXTI think that in a way we are together do to eturnal damnation. But in the same sence I find it that we are further away from reality than we would like to place ourselves.

Those who think we should be united are delusional. We have always been divided. We cannot agree on anything, not even the time of day. And the more people push for unity the further apart we are driven.

i agree 100% with what grim says ,,i mean there are many types of vampires so in essence that ,the egos and so many other things keep vamps from uniting as one i mean weve seen division for years and its not uniting anytime soon no matter how you try ,so my motto is if it aint broke dont fix it ,if its meant to happen it will happen in due time dont push or pressure it ,let it happen as natures course would have it happen

It is true that we are highly individulistic, and all to often divided by our concepts and believes, but that does not mean that any vampire who is is trouble, whether is some form of persecution of simply a need to reach out for advice of just to feel that they are not alone in an all too often hostile world, cannot find that help and support. This website is a prime example of what I am talking about. We may not be "one big happy family", but no vampire should ever feel isolated and abandoned. We are unique, each of us, and we are never truly alone.

Why can't we all just get along...lol.
I agree wtih Grim. Too much ego out there among the vamps. Some people just won't compromise on things and let their pride stand in the way.
