There is a difference between showing emotions, and feeling them, of course.
Amenthyst, you sound depressed to me...I would gather that an immortal by the definition here would not suffer from any sort of biological disfunction such as clinical depression, thus that wouldn't really be an issue. That wasn't specified, but I would figure that since we're ruling out diseases, stopping aging, and healing injuries, inherited and developmental diseases count as well.
Depressed people generally feel sad, or feel nothing at all...listless, no joy in life, sleep problems, etc. If you have those symptoms, I'd encourage you to seek help. There are drugs that can be used to help correct a chemical problem, sometimes permanently. If you don't have anything to be depressed ABOUT, why suffer due to a quirk in brain chemistry?

For being immortal i would say it would be interesting to learn new things being able to see your family grow and mature, yes you would see loved ones die but you would also see so many new ones being born i think that would outweigh the loses. and if you ever got tired of it hibernate if you could for a few thousand years then wake up and then see what was new for you to play with, or if need be look thru the world with new eyes might give you more to do

Amenthyst,
It is so healthy to feel that sadness and darkness for it is part of who you are. But without a balance you will inevitably end up off center. You must endeavor to have joy and happiness, or you will end up being the sum of your sadness, and that is just... sad.
It is YOUR life. No one else can live it for you. Live each moment to its fullest and you will find new energies entering your sphere of reality. It is rewarding.
Much Light & Love, Destra

its seems no one wants to talk about immortality anymore. though i hav one final question about immorality. would u want to die over and over again, aways losing your memories and only regaining very little of them or live forever not dieing and gaining all your past knowledge back and gain more in the future?TEXTTEXT

Since I favor the idea that my current situation is the reincarnation scenario, when I said I'd choose immortality, I meant physical immortality--I'd like to live forever (or at least, have an infinite lifespan). That means no dying, lol. I can live with being stuck in one form for that. Imagine what sorts of things you could build, and how much you could learn....boredom? Hah! The world's changing much too fast for boredom.
