How many of us either accept the existance, whether astrally, etherically, spiritually or materially of dragons or even accept that they, themselves, may be a dragon incarnate? I'm curious.

I do believe in dragon kin, I have a member of my Branch who is dragon and a prospective member who says he is a black dragon, however I have not had much person experience with dragon kin, and I would like to learn more.

Selene, I have also found that dragons can be very ... opinionated. The queen dragon with whom I associate the most is a quiet, dignified lady, unless she's angry then even the Source itself wouldn't want to be in her way. I had a "teacher" among the dragons who was an arrogant sob who acted like I was supposed to be able to read his mind. I was told that before I decided to take on this material life he and I were mates ... he was a chaos dragon. The incarnate dragons I have met have mostly been young and uncertain of how they are to act.

Being a dragon in a human body, it's quite the roller coaster I'll give it that. Especially when you have chaos playing games with luck. Anyways, indeed I am dragon inside, and a very large rule-breaker of some of the common ideas of what a dragon is.
Fussy? Neh... Greedy? Neh... Running on instinct? Nope...
It takes all kinds, you can pin a few same things here and same things there, but you'll still find the unique in everything, I suppose that's what being a sentient astral being is all about, if I’m wrong correct me. ;P
Big or small, wise or clumsy. The real way for anyone to know if they’re dragon is to “know thy self”, no one can tell you if you are one or not, just like many things.
And just because a cute little how dragon are you, or, what dragon are you most like quiz seems ever so 100% on the mark, doesn’t make you a dragon, sorry. =)

LOL! Actually, I rarely come up as a dragon in those quizzes. SO many people miss the mark when making those things.
I both believe and am. (I suppose it would be hard to be the latter and not the former, though, ne? ^_^; )
Dragons come in even more varied species than folklore records (most of those stories being at least a bit and usually a lot off anyway). I don't think it would be possible to link "dragons" in general to one realm or another.

Every major socity in the world has some kind of legend or mythology about dragons. It is a very universal concept among the human races. I wonder why that is? could it be that dragons are something we intuitively have always known existed? But have they ever been material? I wonder.
According to the dragons with whom I associate on the astral plane, the closest thing to a dragon you would find in material existance is the whales and dolphins. What is anyone else's opinion on this?

Seadragon, welcome to the Shadowlore boards! Sorry it took me so long to answer but my computer was out for an upgrade.
Crocs and aligators may have the "appearance" of dragons and Monitor Lizards for that, but they don't have the brain power. That belongs to the Cetaceans (whales and dolphins). According to the ancient astral dragon who calls himself "The Librarian" with whom I am associated, the "real" dragons don't look at the form but the mind and spirit. Dragons are sentient and on earth today they claim the only creatures who are also sentient are humans and cetaceans.

I believe in dragons in/on the astral plane and they believe in me as well. ;D However, I do have a question... An odd one. perhaps.
How do you tell the different between a gargoyle and a dragon and how do you know which one, if either, of these you are?
